A big thank you to Jake Kettenacker who donated this postcard of the Rockford Village Hall to the Rockford Area Historical Society. The building sat parallel to Cedar Street with the entrance facing towards Mechanic street. The Rockford Library currently is that location. This building sat in the flood plain and frequently had water knee-deep in it. Floods between 1940-1960 caused damage, but the final blow to the building was the flood of 1965. At that point the building was doomed for demolition.
