From a collection of 1917 Rockford photographs a view of Main Street. The building on the far left is Cross Lutheran Church, just behind the church is the only known image of the Rockford Band Gazebo that I am aware of. The tall pole between the church and the street is the Liberty Pole that usually flew the American flag. The house on the right would be where the parking lot is now for the church. I am currently researching who lived there.
