Great photo of the Rockford community band taken in 1909. Hiram Cadwell was the director of the band and is in the front row, 4th from the right. The July 4th parade route was different than the Memorial Day route. It ended at the park in town. The building in the background is the Rockford Creamery. You can see the river in the background on the left. This picture was donated to the RAHS by Edie Schmidt. Thank you to Colette Greehling Desens solving who is pictured here. L-R: Azor Cadwell (base drum) Art Cadwell, Otto Hinz, Vernon Thompson, M.D. Stanley, Henry Prestidge, Hector Thompson, Oscar Webber, Geo. Luther, Ollie Shootz ( who was also the depot agent), Hiram Cadwell, Otis Vail, Francis Bugbee, Ed Greehling (snare drum)
