Rockford 1910 looking east on Bridge Street. The house on the left still stands today, next is a brick building behind the tree was built in 1908 and was a bank initially. The next building is a saloon, would have been owned by R.A. Droneck at that time. The tall building after that is the Masonic Lodge. The building on the right is Johnson’s General Store.

looking for old map drawings of area around where YMCA is today and strawberry hill. The sketch map showed empty open land ascending from the rock river. 251 north was not there. It was so cool. also looking for old photos of 1603 4th ave around 1900. I did research of my house and John Hendrickson built it in 1896. He was a laborer from Sweden and lived in Cherry Valley with his wife Hattie. There was an outhouse in the back yard, a kitchen added in 1913. Hendrickson was displayed in the parlor which is now our living room at his funeral. He is buried at the Scandinavian Cemetery.
Are there any photos of this house around 1900 and the Hendrickson family? or the drawing map of the area now around YMCA near Sinnissippi park going up the hill.?
Thanks!
