View looking west on Bridge Street towards downtown Rockford. The building on the left on the east bank of the Crow River operated as a bar prior to prohibition. Once you cross over the river on the right is the Rockford Feed Mill. The white building on the left is River’s Edge Apartments. During the 1935 assessment of the bridge the Hennepin County Transportation Department determined that the bridge was no longer adequate for the current traffic. A new bridge would be needed at some point.
