John Parmeter 1890 Rockford Baseball

This is the earliest known picture of an identified Rockford baseball player. The portrait is of John Parmeter who lived in Rockford until 1898. John was born in 1860 in New York, and married Jesse Hill in 1889 in Rockford, Minnesota. He was a preacher and missionary for 32 years across many states.
