Lillian Walker was born February of 1869 in “North Rockford”. From 1900 to 1920 she is listed as a school teacher at Rockford school “in town”. Pictured on top are the faculty in 1909 from Rockford’s in town school. No names, but the lady on the far right looks to be about 40, the other two might be younger. What makes this story even more interesting is that Lillian was a wonderful artist in her spare time. The bottom painting is an example of her work dated 1921. Lillian never married and had no children. In doing research I could not find any photographs of her….hoping this coincidence of her being a teacher in Rockford and having the faculty photo we can identify which women she is.
