
A rare flyer from either 1935 or 1940 featuring Eli Rice and his Orchestra performing at the Lake Sarah Pavilion. Eli Rice was a very well know jazz conductor who’s instructing propelled several of his band members to play with Cab Callaway, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Count Basie and many others. Eli was born in Kansas, but worked out of Oshkosh Wisconsin. He conducted from the mid 1920’s to early 1940’s. A great get for Lake Sarah, I bet the joint was jumping that night…
