1965 Flood Bridge Street

August 11, 2020 //  by Kevin Koehler//  Leave a Comment

The river had not yet crested when this picture was taken in April of 1965. A quote from Betsy Vergin expresses the thankfulness of the community -“The salvation army gave help and money to the people to buy new flooring and wallpaper, paint and what they needed to move back into their homes again. The salvation army is one of my favorite charities.”
