Rockford Area Historical Society Showcase – at the Rockford Business Expo

The Rockford Area Historical Society will be having an EXTRA-large display at the Rockford Business Expo on April 9th. On display will be highlights of our research on the evolution of Rockford schools. Pictures of the Rockford normal school built in 1878. Details about how country schools fed into the Rockford school and the first high school in Rockford in 1917.
In addition, we will have art on display from Rockford’s Lillian Walker (1869-1951) as well as information about Rockford great train wreck in 1917…and much more…stop in and check out more about RAHS and Rockford’s history
